Compliance software made in Europe

At this point, it has gotten difficult to manage compliance without using dedicated software. There are simply too many IT security regulations and IT frameworks to comply with for you to use spreadsheets and Word documents.

Compliance software is made for exactly this work, and it gets more useful as your company grows bigger.

When we talk about compliance software we typically refer to different kinds, and within data protection and IT security compliance we typically refer to GDPR software, ISMS software and GRC software.

In this guide, we have made a list of the European vendors.

Compliance software categories

GDPR software

Designed specifically to help you comply with the GDPR. This includes your record of processing activities, risk assessments, impact assessments, data subject access requests from people who want to see their data, incident logs, along with everything else you need to comply.

ISMS software

Keeps your information security in order: risks, policies, controls and the evidence an ISO 27001 auditor or a NIS2 supervisor asks to see.

GRC software

As IT security frameworks and regulations have been popping up in great numbers, a new class of software has emerged: “Governance, Risk & Compliance” (GRC). GRC software is designed to help you with the entire set of compliance requirements.

Software providers and their data processors

We have collected a list of these compliance software providers to see how they have chosen their data processors. This is important, because Chapter V of the GDPR regulates transfers of personal data outside the EU.
In these guides a map will show where each software provider’s data processors are based, which companies store your data, and whether those companies are European or not. A European data centre owned by a US company must still answer to US law.
