Physical Security
This training introduces the basics of physical security and why it is important for protecting your organisation’s devices, data, and documents.
The employee will learn how physical security works in layers, from gates and doors to personal responsibility, and how small lapses like tailgating or leaving items unattended can put the organisation’s information at risk.
The employee will also learn what extra precautions are needed when working off-premises, whether from home, while traveling, or at external meetings.
Course Topics
Lesson 1) Why Physical Security Matters for Information Security
In the first lesson, your employees will learn that IT security is not only about online threats, but also includes protecting physical devices and information. They will understand the difference between on-premises and off-premises risks, and why security depends on both systems and employee habits.
Lesson 2) On-Premises Security
Your employees will learn how to support physical security on-premises, and how their actions like holding doors open, sharing access cards, or leaving devices unlocked can lead to security risks.
Lesson 3) Off-Premises Security
Your employees will learn how to protect company devices and information when working off-premises, whether at home, while traveling, or in public spaces.
They will learn that without workplace security measures, it’s up to them to stay alert and take simple steps like keeping devices close, preventing others from seeing screens, and avoiding private conversations in public.
